William R. Boone High School is one of seventeen comprehensive high schools within the Orange County Public School System. Boone, however, is unique in that it is a true community school, nestled in an urban area. Its student population is relatively stable, with the majority of the seniors having attended all four of their high school years at Boone.  Parents are among the most active supporters of the school, as evidenced by their P.T.S.A. involvement, local business support, and volunteer participation. Boone is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).  Boone was awarded a B grade for the 2006-07 school year.

The city of Orlando, Florida’s largest inland city, is home to Boone High School.  The city’s reputation as a tourist’s paradise is balanced by numerous cultural activities, professional sports contests, and post secondary educational opportunities. The resulting progressive nature of life in Orlando enriches the education of all our students.
