Web Design 2 - (Opportunity for Tech Prep - 3 credits with Valencia Community College)

PC Support/Networking - (Opportunity for Tech Prep - 3 credits with Valencia Community College)

All students are expected to submit a Weekly Report each Friday that consists of 4 components:

Web Design/Programming

Bell Work - ~20 points
Paragraph describing what you learned and how your created your project work- ~5 points
Updated Time and Event schedule for your project- ~10 points
Project work - Indicate name and location of file(s) - ~100 points
Total - 100 points

PC Support/Networking

Bell Work - ~20 points
Paragraph describing what you learned and how your created your project work - ~5 points
Written Practice Quizzes from text book and/or Lab Write-ups - ~20 points
Lab Work - ~20 points
Chapter Tests - ~100 points

Students will also be required to write a paper (200 points) and give a trade-show style demonstration (250 points) during the 18th and 36th weeks of the school year.

Web Design Applications utilized: Macromedia Studio 8 ( Dreamweaver, Flash, Fireworks), HTML, Javascript, PHP
Programming Applications utilized: Macromedia Flash/Action Script, Visual Basic, VB.net, C++, Java, HTML

Boone High School's Web Design class is responsible for managing our school's web site and is also available to assist businesses, organizations, and individuals in creating custom web sites. Furthermore, would you like your website to have that cutting edge?  Boone’s Advanced Television Production classes will shoot, edit, and create specific video for inclusion in your site.  In conjunction with Boone’s Web Design class, your website will have that professional edge for a fraction of industry prices.  Donations for website and/or video work can be made to Boone High School.
